Volunteers have been a steady force in VSMS’ service to seniors in the past 60 years. As a volunteer, you have an opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of low-income seniors living in Vancouver’s urban core. Not only will you have a chance to change the lives of one or more low-income seniors, but you’ll have a chance to meet fun, like-minded people and gain valuable work experience. Interested? Available Opportunities
Here are the volunteer opportunities we currently have:
- ESL Tutor. Help seniors develop their English language skills so that they can express themselves better. 
- Technology Assistant. Teach seniors how to use their smartphones or computers and this way, they can navigate the world around them more effectively 
- Driver. Drive seniors to medical appointments and field trips. Must have a Valid BC Driver’s License. 
- Photographer. Take photos of our seniors, staff, and volunteers. 
- Event Organizer. Help coordinate fundraising and outreach events to help bring more support and attention to VSMS. 
- Writer. Contribute to the VSMS blog by writing articles for our blog and newsletter. 
- Create-Your-Own Role. Do you see a need that's not listed? If so, let us know how you can help.
